From Niki’s kitchen
to your table.
A tradition of hospitality, carried forward in Agros.
It started with sharing.
Before founding the company in 1989, Niki Agathocleous made spoon sweets and marmalades for friends and relatives. Inspired by her mother’s cooking, she turned a familiar Cypriot welcome into her life’s work.
The first workshop opened in 1986. As demand grew, the business developed while keeping traditional recipes at its heart.
OUR ROOTS
A story grown in Agros.
1986
Niki opens her shop in Agros with five spoon sweets and three marmalades.
1989
Niki Agathocleous Ltd is established.
1992
Twelve new spoon sweets and marmalades join the family.
1996
A bigger shop, and our sweets start travelling all over Cyprus.
1998
Our jars cross the sea, to England, Australia and beyond.
2001
Niki becomes the biggest spoon sweet brand in Cyprus.
2003
Our current factory opens in Agros.
2006
New favourites: soutzioukos, and spoon sweets with no added sugar.
2008
Favours and gifts for weddings, christenings and special days.
2012
A new generation joins the family, and fresh ideas start flowing into the old recipes.
2015
Our sweets reach the USA and Japan.
The tradition continues.
Today, our collection brings together spoon sweets, jams, soutzioukos, syrups and gifts, with a shared connection to the tastes of Cyprus.
